Fighting Style: Thus far Kayde has focused on using what little control he has mustered over air to squelch other bender's attacks and defenses so he could get nearby bringing his strength and mobility with a staff to bear. Close range he tries to avid the worst of what comes his way or guide the rest away from his person granted he does get a kick out of using an opponents offense into a grapple they would be hard pressed to remove themselves from to prevent them from bending further. He is sure his style will change quite a bit as his bending improves but until such a time he will resign himself to making momentary razors of air in the pub and getting in close to put people down.

Personality: Kayde is an open minded young man willing to learn from others rather readily taking an interest in the lives and beliefs of the people around him. Granted his curiosity can be taxing on his friends for time to time its well layered with a patient diligent mind with a genuine sense of concern for those around him. His friends know him to be social at work cheering up the dreary when they come into The Maven a pub in the lower income section of town or sharing a sandwich with the elusive hobos never giving their traveling cottages a secret like they ask. When he isn't working or practicing his art he likes to keep nearby his friends treasuring the time he has with them be it good or bad. The mindset of taking life as it comes is something that has come a bit naturally to Kayde not getting to bothered over opportunities that may or may not have been missed because who is t say they would have lead to where he thought they would have; hey even if they had god for the other person onto the next thing right? Keep on walking, never stop learning, and keep and eye open for your friends they're the family you choose in the end after all.

Appearance: Like most air benders Kayde keeps his head shaven along with the rest, something about being bald that disarms people that or being a peace loving monk in the eyes of the populous. Kayde likes robes and pants that allow for his bending and breathing opposed to robes or pants that would get in the way or end up in his eyes. He is utility over appearance if the choice is a must but like most of us he wants to keep clean, smelling nice, and presentable when not lazing about at home on an off day when the rare things rear their head. As for his body he stands a little over six feet weighing about 176 pounds with a wider shoulder build compared to most skinny young men. He has a thicker waist kept in fine enough condition to start procuring some visible abdominal muscles with some more training to his under spoken pride. His face is a kind one without a regular death gaze or terrible childhood murder past bleeding out at the seems; the kind of guy you can talk with without having to know.

Strengths: Kayde is gifted with patience, an observant eye, and a thicker build granted to him from his earth tribe ancestors lending him resilience to pain bodily harm. He also inherited the will of his ancestors and teachers keeping steadfast be it in the ring or in life. He has had to work hard to reach a respectable point in his air bender training alongside his peers given his schedule of training, work, arena time at home, and straining every ounce of time he could with his friends; the kind of guy to get four hours of sleep for five nights to get it all in on a regular because he cared. Insomnia and his heavier build helped and hurt him.

Weaknesses: Kayde can over think given situations from time to time, he also has come to note as he became a young man he wasn't quite as fast in the air as some of his lankier bending brothers though he could manage a fall with more gusto than most (not that his instructors appreciated the repeated failures prior to success).

History: Kayde was born from a larger earth kingdom city something by the name of Omashu or something fancy like that he might joke with a friend. He hasn't been there since his family gave him tot he air nomads when his latent bending arose a little past his toddler years, at the time he was sad he was leaving, but given a time he gathered his child self up to see the city he then found himself in. The trip to Republic City was where he collected himself listening to the monks that were transporting him there telling the distraught child that his parents wanted him to have a chance to learn his something of his powers and himself while he grew in the melting pot of the world something that didn't make a bit of sense to him until he arrived. The “term” melting pot seemed to mean a place where people from all over the place adopted each other as neighbors to which the tike jumped off the arrival platform trialed by a little gust off wind to meet some people. As he grew into his teenage years he had came to sober up to the darker side of the human condition he met a earth bender with a aura of well strangeness something like cardamon with a pinch of anise or ground chili peppers well the case got him to visit the guy every once in awhile forming a brotherly relationship as far as the air bender was concerned. Despite the training he received on the island and his friend off the island he still felt a hole to fill at the age of fourteen so he got permission to intern with a cafe as a floor hand busing tables, bringing food, drinks, appetizers, the works. Well by eighteen he got to the legal drinking age so he could start working at The Maven Pub closer to where his best friend lived in the darker part of town were he may have gotten beaten a time or two or three and so on learning to roll with the punches wasn't something all the new to Kayde; the bending arena on the monks' island had seen to that. He learned not to take a hit and not carry money on him in any large amount without a group with him; a interesting but depressing reality the young air bender came to see that despite the city being a melting pot bending was rather restricted within city limits as was other eccentricities for the good of having a focal point for everyone. The silence that comes from the trail of that thought is what bothered him not the living progression of it, laws standing to protect the majority was a good thing, and smiling this young air bender grabbed his staff for a meet up with an old friend in the ring.
